Ive been going here sense i was a baby and I'm now 45. Had a chance to stop in this past weekend and i still love this place.
6 outta 10 on service, 2 on ambiance, 11 outta 10 on an Italian sub with a whole pickle and a jumbo "uptown". Price and size of subs here make Subway and Jersey Mikes look like a joke. This place is the real deal, a Paterson institution. Make a special trip for the pastrami and thank me later.

I've live in Paterson for over 20 years and never stopped by until recently. I got the #26 which was pastrami and beef with cheese. It looked like half a sub. I should have ordered 2 bc it was very tasty. The meat was very moist and tender. Go when the sun is out. Unless you have protection. Not sure if cc accepted. Paterson is a CREAM city. Dollar dollar bills y'all!!!!!!
Would take a half star off for the lack of a toaster or broiler to melt the cheese on my Reuben, otherwise this is a world class sandwich. The bread as the name implies is mainly subs aka grinders, aka submarine sandwich, aka hero (Brooklyn, my home town)... As a diabetic I wanted to avoid the loaf of bread, so I went for the marble rye Reuben, but the lack of a toaster or broiler to melt the cheese and toast the bread definitely knocked this world class sandwich down a few rungs, but this NJ sandwich shop is the real deal. Must return to try others when this sandwich finishes sinking me :)
